Nottingham Comedy festival started in 2009 with the directors, Helen Stead and Rachel Greensmith. Together with the help of local comedians, friends, promoters and businesses NCF2009 took place between 30th October - 7th November with 50 acts in 10 venues. The second festival took place between the 24th September and the 4th October 2010. We are now into our third year and are looking to increase the festival to incorporate a wider variety of comedy and be able to take specialist workshops out into schools and to those with learning difficulties.
We aim to bring all the comedy in Nottingham together and provide both established and new acts the chance to perform. We (NFC) are very proud to be working with the great Nottingham clubs and promoters such as: Jongleurs, Glee, Funhouse Comedy, Nottingham Playhouse, The Royal Centre and Laffboro's 2 funny Comedy Club.
We also have a sister company, NCF entertainment, for our other events.
Festival Team
The festival now has a committee and numerous associates, all who are working hard to make the NCF2011 even more successful than the previous years. In addition to the main festival there are also regular monthly shows taking place.
