This brand new competition will see three members of the public take to the mic and compete for a case of Castle Rock beer. The winner will then go into the grand final during the actual comedy festival at the end of September and have the chance to win even more prizes.

This is a fantastic chance to have a go at stand-up comedy in front of a comedy loving crowd and some established comedians. It's a guaranteed laugh and well worth doing.

n.b. this competition is for people who have NEVER done stand-up comedy before. Only original material is acceptable, do not steal other comedians' routines and jokes. If you are found to be breaking any of these rules you will be disqualified. The Compere has the right to end your act after 3 minutes so please don't aim to go over.
