Donation site up and running (November 10, 2011)
Each year the Nottingham Comedy Festival relies on the kind donations and sponsorships from both individuals and companies.
We have just set up a Go Fund Me account to help the fundraising for both the specialised workshops and to keep the festival going. If you would like to donate we would be very grateful. The page can be found here:

If you would like to support the festival as an official sponsor please see the sponsors/partners page on the website.
Many Thanks
Helen Stead NCF Director
Here's the blurb from our GoFundMe page:
The annual Festival brings together most of the city’s main comedy venues during the last week in September and also, through its commercial arm, puts on shows in the city centre which promote new talent and give existing artists the opportunity to appear in a traditional comedy club environment .
The Festival is itself not for profit with the objective of promoting comedy to the public, giving up and coming artists the opportunity to perform alongside well established acts, and provide a variety of workshops to enable the public to become involved.
Following this year’s Festival we are planning improv comedy workshops targeted at young people with learning disabilities. Improv comedy is proved to improve self confidence and social skills with young people with learning disabilities and we are working with the largest special needs school in the region.
The Festival also runs a competition throughout the year for new stand up artists. Last year’s winner is now a regular on the UK comedy circuit.
The Festival receives contributions from artists to appear at the Festival and some local companies also support the promotion and advertising however we would like to run these improv workshops for free at the school as we see a significant benefit for the students as well as expanding the scope of comedy in the city.
Any sponsorship would be very much appreciated and would help secure next year’s Festival and enable us to run the learning disabilities improv workshops during the coming year.
